Marlene's birthday art

I altered some wooden playing blocks for the Paper Princess Marlene for her birthday. They are two sided and one side says "love" while the other one says "dream".

I also altered a paper bag from Typo for her presents.

New job card

A colleague is moving on from our section and I made this card for him. He has a great sense of humour so I wanted the card to be funny.

Two quick cards made last night

Last night there was a football game on so I headed to my craft room while DH was watching it.

This card is for a colleague
at work who is leaving.

And this one is for my Mum with a photo of my

nephew when he was much, much younger

and he did some self-face painting. I used

a card with pastel pieces as the background.

Screenprinting workshop

Last weekend I have undertaken a screenprinting workshop with Nancy Brown at the Brisbane Institute of Art.  It was very informative and lots of fun, and I ended up with many fabric pieces which I can use in my art. Here are the results:

This was done with a linocut which was repeated

all over the piece

Same linocut as above but stamped in red ink

This was my very first attempt with screenprinting and cut out shapes

Screenprinting with a photo emulsion technique

with my doodles which I sketched on paper

The same screenprint as above but with black ink

Another simple screenprint with cut out shapes

Photo emulsion technique, screen done by

another class participant which I used on my fabric
